Centre for youth activism KRIK is non-governmental, non-profit organization established by young people, led by young people and it works for and with young people. KRIK strives to encourage greater youth participation, youth activism, encourage young people to be more included in the policy making process on local and national level.
During a working day volunteers will be attending languages classes and afterwards the will be helping with online marketing and also planning the activities that they will deliver later on.
Responsibilities regarding the project:
o Helping with everyday work of KRIK office This means working with us in the office, working on sending opportunities (preparing the call for some activity like training, YE etc.) and after looking through the application for the same opportunity and deciding which applicant should be sent. Working language in the office is English. Moreover, volunteers will be responsible for the administrative work and assisting the staff in the office. Furthermore, volunteers will be responsible for the social media, organizing events, etc.
o At least one workshop per week. Our target group consist of young people. We have focus on young people with fewer opportunities. The target groups are young deaf people, young blind people, young people having Down syndrome and young people coming from rural areas. We also work with young people in primary and high schools.
Volunteer can choose with which target group he/she feels most comfortable to work with and together with us you will plan the activities and the program that he/she will deliver.
That means that volunteer should prepare all the workshops (i.e. creative writing, Christmas decoration etc). Training will be offered for everything that volunteer will need to deliver. The volunteers are not working alone on the activities, during the workshops there will be someone from KRIK that will provide a support in delivering the workshops.
o At least one event per week
Each week volunteers will organize an interesting event for all target groups. That could be non formal gathering and speaking about different subjects, parties, hiking in the mountains….
