Tallinn Linnupesa Kindergarten is looking for a motivated volunteer who wants to be part of the team and create an inspiring athmosphere for the children.
Tallinn Linnupesa Kindergarten has 50 year history. Kindergarten belongs to local municipality. Our name is Linnupesa- nest, from that name we have vision- Cozy nest foreveryone: COZY- play areas, playgrounds, friendly atmosphere; NEST- cozy environment; EVERYONE- our kids, workers, teachers, parents, partners, friends etc.
It consists of twelve kindergarten groups (children aged 1,5 to 7 years). 24 pedagogues work in kindergarten. Besides working with curriculum on daily basis, our kindergarten especially focuses on children’s healthcare, environmental awareness, outdoor learning and preparation for school. We have nice traditions: days with family, sport activity days, visiting theatres and concerts and they are visiting us, hikes and excursions during spring and summer also we have twice a year cafes where kindergarten gathers money for some big things- right now we gather money for shelters where we could do our outdoor learning sessions.
We also cooperate with other organisations. Every month we have some theatre groups visiting us. With children we are visiting museums and other great places which supports their learning (police). There are several music, dance and sport lessons for children which are held also in our kindergarten so these are very popular- parents doesn’t need to ride their kids around the city.
Working 5 days a week about 7h per day.
Taking part our meetings and in the beginning introducing himself/herself to our organisation personnel.
Taking part every day activities in our Sunbeams (Päikesekiire) group and helping teacher with artworks.Taking photos and videos in our daily activities and putting together a blog- with a help of teacher or assistants.
Directly assisting the children Individual work
Preparing teaching devices if necessary. Taking part in the study visits (expeditions), in outdoor education and in the movement activities Assisting the teachers in the preparation of the traditional house events – sports days, study visits, field trips, excursions, etc.
