Volunteering in the Natural Park!

Would be perfect if volunteer would have some nature education background or simply love nature and not be afraid of working outside.
In 1959 after the construction of the Kaunas hydroelectric power station, the waters of the Nemunas River flooded a greater part of the valley, covering an area of over 6.350 ha and formed a wonderful lagoon landscape.
In order to preserve the unique landscape of the Kaunas lagoon, its ecosystem and cultural heritage, the Kaunas Lagoon Regional Park was established by the Supreme Council of the Republic of Lithuania in 24 September 1992.
The total area of the park covers 9.869 ha and includes territories in Kaunas City and the Kaunas and Kaišiadorys districts.
Kaunas lagoon is 44 meters above the sea level, and the highest point in the park is 93 meters above sea level in Pastrėvys forest. The widest point in the lake reaches 3.3 km and the narrowest 0.3 km. The deepest place in Kaunas Lagoon is around 22 meters, and the total length of the coast (up to Balbieriškis) is 200 km.
Our organisation searching for 1 volunteer for from April to end of September 2017 (6 months).
Activities for volunteers year 2017:
-maintenance of regional parks infrastructure;
-walking with regional parks ranger and monitoring territory, providing information for tourists;
-herb picking and gardening;
-garbage collection and sorting in regional park territory;
-helping to organise education programs and guided excursions;
-Preparation of presentations, different quiz games in English for kids about nature in Kaunas lagoon regional park, nature preservation;
-communication with visitors in visitor centre;
-making photos of regional parks nature, different events;
– other activities
