LOVE&HATE III: Youth for Online Tolerance

We are looking for active volunteers from Portugal, Spain, Germany and Italy who are ready to take a stand against discrimination and advocate for tolerance!
You can decide for the duration of your project, the period between first September to 10th January is possible.
The Infinite Opportunities Association (IOA) started in 2010 with the commitment to youth work, active citizenship, promotion of non-formal education and encouraging young people to develop their social and creative potential for a better future for everyone.
Since 2012 IOA is part of the No Hate Speech Movement and host for EVS volunteers. This movement is a youth campaign of Council of Europe against the expressions of hate speech online in all its forms target to youth. In that context we engage young people to the topic of tolerance and appreciation of diversity, raising awareness on discrimination and stereotypes focused on Hate Speech versus Freedom of Speech as well as the human rights by school presentations and workshops on non-formal learning or street actions and trainings. We are running a website called Toler@nce Platform with info, articles and links on anti-discrimination, combating hate speech and promotion of diversity – www.ontolerance.eu.

Being part of our team means you will be joining different activities like street actions, presentations, workshops and you can also come up with your own idea, we are happy to hear new voices! Most of the activities are taking place in Sofia, and sometimes we are visiting other cities for school presentations, trainings or festivals around Bulgaria as well.
The main task of the volunteers is to find contacts to schools and universities across Bulgaria to deliver presentations/workshops/street actions. Our target group are young people from Bulgaria to educate them on topics related to Human Rights and non-discrimination as part of the No Hate Speech Campaign. The know-how about non-formal education and giving workshops as well as inspiration and knowledge about all the topics you will find in several manuals we use.
